Part I. How to Play Guitar Faster
In this section, Manuel sets you up to start playing lightning-fast guitar.
Learning how to shred doesn’t happen overnight. In Part I, Manuel sets you up with the mindset that will enable you to play guitar faster. Here’s how it works: every phrase, motif, run, or lick requires a different approach to mastery or articulation. By carefully examining the most efficient way to pick a phrase and what feels most comfortable to you, you’ll be able to play effortlessly fast.
This section also includes lessons on three-note runs, picking-hand technique, traversing the fretboard, and two- & one-note-per-string phrases.
Part II. Percussive Strumming
Learn a key component of Manuel's sound.
In Part II, Manuel breaks down the technique of percussive strumming so you can learn it and adapt it to your own playing.
You’ll learn muting techniques, how to play fast triplets, and Manuel will wrap up this section with a lesson on extended rhythmic patterns.
Part III. Tapping Harmonics
Next, discover how to use harmonics tastefully.
In this section, you’ll learn how to play intricate, tapped harmonic patterns on your guitar. You'll start with some practice on finding tapped octaves, then we'll shift focus to chordal tapping, which is akin to arpeggiating chords. After some practice combining chords through tapping, we'll wrap up with some drills to speed up your tapping.
Parts IV, V, & VI.
We'll wrap up with material to help you understand Manuel's signature sound.
Part IV. Tone & Sounds Tips
Manuel walks you through the devices that fuel expressiveness in his playing: vibrato, pickup configurations, post production, slides, and natural harmonics. These lessons are going to help you polish your playing no matter which style you associate with.
Part V. Advanced Fusion Licks
Add some new tricks to your vocabulary with 10 ready-to-jam fusion licks. Each lick hones in on a different concept that you can use to hone your lead-guitar skills.
